Kennesaw State announces record-breaking enrollment

Kennesaw State University is once again on the rise as a record number of students were enrolled in the university for the Fall 2024 semester. The 47,829 students taking classes at KSU this fall represent the sixth consecutive year of growth for Georgia’s third-largest university.

That’s a 5.9% increase over Kennesaw State’s Fall 2023 total enrollment numbers, which includes a 9.2% higher number of graduate students attending this year.

It also includes the largest freshman class KSU has ever had, with 9,495 new students becoming Owls, or 10.4% more than a year earlier.

“Kennesaw State continues to be a top choice for students who want to make a difference in their careers,” President Kathy S. Schwaig said. “As the university rises in national prominence, we are seeing more students who want to take their next steps in education at KSU.”

The appeal of Kennesaw State is being seen across the nation with students from 37 U.S. states enrolled, as well as around the world, as 1,622 international students from 92 countries choose KSU.

At the same time, KSU is continuing to see high enrollment in its Dual Enrollment Program, which provides the opportunity for high school juniors and seniors to get a head start on college. This fall saw 1,358 area students taking part in the program.

“Kennesaw State’s impact keeps growing, and each member of our community adds a new perspective to the education we provide,” Schwaig said. “As we move forward, we will continue to build excellence in how we teach and conduct research, partner with industry, and support our state and community.”
